2. As a person with a questionable past and a few bad experiences with police I don't judge but my question is how does a person become to work for the police if they have a background

By the way… I grew up taught to respect cops as the good guys but several negative experiences (even though I've never been arrested or committed a crime) interacting with local cops made me real cynical. I still respected them as an idea, but figured a lot were jerks. FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH YOUR VIDS HELPED ME SEE THE OTHER SIDE OF IT and that you guys ARE PEOPLE TOO. So … long story short, what you are doing from that perspective does work. Keep it up. I appreciate you doing vids.

    On the flip side, I also manage a gun shop and places like Big Daddy Unlimited are going to put your local gun shops out of business. The surviving shops will simply increase the cost to transfer guns to them.

    Almost all of my experiences with law enforcement have been excellent, mostly due to telling the truth and complying. although usually it was a traffic ticket stupid stuff like that.

    I do have a cool story I will share when I do some writing……..

34. Mike, I would be greatly intrigued to hear you have discussion(s) with youtuber John Filax 😉 it would also be interesting to hear live comments about a couple short video clips of questionable encounters between police and civilians.
    From what I've heard from you so far (in the few videos I watched), you seem to have some common sense (so far).
    I am not an anarchist nor do I claim to be a sovereign citizen, and by no means have some deep-seated loathing of law enforcement. On the contrary, I believe (some) laws and (LIMITED) gov't are vital for a functioning Society / Nation to exist. However, over the years I have grown to become extremely suspicious of cops' behavior and the overreaching judicial system. Now in my 40s, I am very "cautious" when dealing with anyone with a badge although I have never been charged with anything more than a misdemeanor or minor traffic citation, and have never been placed under arrest!
    In more recent history, I have watched hundreds of examples of what I see to be gross overreach, senseless harassment, intimidation, frivolous use of law and code enforcement, and miscarriages of Justice by police, judges, and other government entities. Some examples include baseless stop and ID interactions, de facto use of disorderly conduct or obstruction charges, ridiculous concept of civil asset forfeiture without due process, and blatant violations of the first, fourth, and fifth amendment rights…. just to name a few.
    What say you, Mike the cop????? Are you willing to reach out to John Filax and make it happen?
    I have no personal affiliation with John, but would find the interaction quite fascinating and I'm sure LOTS of other people would also. Could be one of the "greatest hits" for both of you?

39. Wow dude, I didn’t realize your brother was killed in the line of duty. That certainly is a life changer and brings a whole new perspective to Mike the Cop.

    But your battle is indeed interesting since you are battling to an extent the media that you are using. YouTube does indeed do its best to suppress the truth of those who don’t follow their mantra.

    Mike the Cop, I had a bunch of other great words, but at this point all I can say is he’s really just a nice honest great guy and that’s enough.
