Slavery is still alive and well what this official made this young man do is nothing short of pointing a gun at him and giving him no choice. All the other officials should have stood their ground and protected him, but no. The paycheque speaks more powerfully than the human spirit in that country.

    1) Unfortunately, the individual with the hair was in violation and his hair was past his ear and in violation of athletic admission standards. I know this because in Boxing in order for me to compete I'd have to shave my beard.

    2) Just because an "Individual" is reported to have done something doesn't mean this individual "committed" the act in other words it's an "allegation". Just because a white individual has an encounter or disagreement with a African American brother doesn't mean he's a "RACIST" stop branding every controversial "White man" as racist obviously you can't determine whether the case is racially motivated or not. The ref. Did offer this brother the opportunity to wear a cap that he (did not) have therefore unfortunately the ref made a call according to regulations for athletes.

    3) For the African American brother sorry that had to have happened to you wish it could have gone a different way unfortunately it didn't. I can myself empathize with him on having to cut hair off for a sport as well and it sucks, I like him am an African American and though we live in world where MOST ALL PEOPLE ONLY SEE COLOR AND RACE, most of the world is not like that and I hope you can also see that as well.

12. The referee should file a lawsuit for defamation. Calling him a racist for just upholding wrestling rules is unjust. Female wrestlers have the same thing, that's why they wear caps at weigh ins. If they don't, they will have to forfeit or have short hair to continue. The referee should sue for defamation, the same ref made calls on his behalf to win the match. The military does the same thing, either follow the rules or don't participate.
