Louisville, Kentucky — On today’s date May 19th at approximately 1:40 a.m. Officer Patrick Dahlgren from the seventh patrol division, observed an occupied vehicle sitting on the access road of the 6900 block of Bardstown Road in a dark area. Officer Dahlgren approached the vehicle and detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car and was in plain sight inside the car. Officer Dahlgren requested the occupant, Decedric Binford to exit the vehicle. Officer Dahlgren conducted the pat down for weapons and spoke to Binford as he waited for his backup. At one point Binford asked to get something out of his car and began going through a few items. When the backup officer Seventh Division patrol, officer Trevor Troutman arrived, Binford began digging deeper into his vehicle. Officer Dahlgren ordered Binford to stop reaching and tried to pull him out of the car.

A short struggle ensued and Binford fired a handgun he had retreat from his vehicle at Officer Dahlgren from very close range. He struck Officer Dahlgren in the right shoulder. At this time, Binford fled from officers. While he was fleeing He fired one additional round at the officers, Officer Dahlgren and Officer Troutman each shot four times at Binford striking him once. Binford continued to flee on foot but he fell down and was taken into custody by responding officers. Bidford’s handgun was recovered at the location where he was arrested. Binford was administered first aid and transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officer Dahlgren was also treated for a graze wound on his shoulder and is expected to fully recover. Binford has been charged with attempted murder of a police officer, fleeing and evading in the first degree and trafficking marijuana.

  1. Another example of cops treating an individual respectfully and being forced to defend themselves … must be a decision based on ethnicity. Tip boys and girls, when questioned by the police, be polite and don't resist or shoot them. Problem solved. Idiots … no matter what ethnicity

  2. It’s easy to throw yourself in a situation and say what you would’ve done if you were that next person. Really easy. But boy really did have a choice, and the choice being leaving that gun inside the house or even if he felt he had to have it with him in the car, moving smarter with it. These situations also make weed look bad too smh AND he decided to flip and shoot at the cop that wasn’t even treating him bad lol lessons come in all forms, foreal.

  3. Louisville Metro PD is going to be losing alot of officers I have a feeling. Guess poor little Louisville government will have a few less racist killers to do their dirty work.Awwwwww bless their hearts 🥰.

  4. I hope in God every thug hears and watch this video at minute 8:07 when the criminal is complaining and the officer tells him “ YOU DID HAVED A CHOICE” that’s why anytime an officer kills a thug 99.9% the thug haves a choice to live or die. Good ending, almost perfect ending.

  5. u have given ID, U showed where u live, U left your car.. AND U FIRED ON A FREAKING COP? This cop was nothing but nice and respectful and u shoot him? F'N POS> This is why race relations with cops and Black people are so bad. IF that was me, NO MATTER WHAT I had in my car, I would have taken my punishment. I NEVER would think to shoot a freaking cop. That is why, no matter what I do, when I interact with the cops. Me and that cop will both go home alive that day. PERIOD>

  6. Cop's hand shoulda been on his gun the FIRST time he went in (car's NOT impounded!).
Should've unsnapped when he wouldn't get out (looked / dug for other crap)
As SOON! AS! He started looking for anything, he shoulda had a gun in his face.

  7. Cops should fake cry as though the great leader himself died — after "losing them."
Then..? when mostly peaceful protestors & BLM start calling cops full of shit …
they'll finally understand how it feels to watch the "urban 401k," aka, I can't breath.

  8. THEME:
Acts normal: "lemme jus grab something." do something "normal" then nonchalantly stay in the car.
During slow time: Have a cigarette & reduce cop's guard by repeatedly crossing threshold with innocent tasks.
Go time: Dig in the real area, cuz grabbing stuff out a car which is NOT IMPOUNDED isn't suspicious.

    From the real urban dictionary:
    Defines resisting as COMPLIANCE
URBAN LOTTO: aka, "I can't breath." ALWAYS PLAY IT! Even after tryina kill a cop … bc white guilt is fo realz y'all.

  9. 경찰: 1. 안전하고 편안하게 협조하기 2. 총맞고 고통속에서 다음생으로 이동하기 ( Officer: 1. Cooperate safely 2. Combat bullet wounds and death)
    범죄자(suspect):  2222222222222222222222

  10. First thing I heard when you see the shooter – "I can't breathe!"
That seems to be the "Get out of jail free" call today. And it always amazes me that they're yelling "I can't breathe!" at the top of their lungs, don't they have to breathe to be able to shout "I can't breathe!"?

They have discovered if you keep shouting "I can't breathe!" that turns you from a criminal into the victim of police brutality, and there may be a payoff from the city when they settle the lawsuit from them for "racism".
And put the cop he tried to kill in jail.
