16. my uncle is a retired federal judge, and he says this perp could be under the federal protection program. and could be protected for the rest of his life as long as only misdemeners are charged. could have given up lots of heavy info on some high level perps

18. There was a case here in Australia where a guy was kidnapped by three thugs and being held in an apartment. They called his mother demanding ransom money (and presumably telling her not to try contacting authorities etc).
    She immediately called the NSW police who swiftly apprehended the three violent thugs and found her son badly injured in the apartment after tracking one of the thugs down in some local shops.
    This is one of thousands of stories of great work by thre police and we must keep that in mind when exposing the dark side of the police force.
