“We stopped Mr. Douglas Gay for a burned out headlight. After a brief conversation with Mr. Gay, it was discovered that he was driving under a suspended driver’s license.
When we asked him to step out of the car, he decided that it would be a better idea to put the car in gear and take off.
After a brief pursuit, Mr. Gay crashed into a fence at 100 N. Yale immobilizing his car. After tackling some logistical issues, we were able to take Mr. Gay into custody.”

Unless you're a police officer, or were one at one time, you have NO IDEA of what a police officer goes through on a daily basis. It's amazing when people try to tell the cops how to do their job. It's like watching a Dr stitch up a cut at the emergency room and saying" I can do that". Look at that, even after he fled and crashed making the cops job that much more risky, but yet the American man (I refuse to call black man or African American). If you was born here in America, you are American no matter what color your skin is. He did as he was told and never got shot, he did not continue to fight the cops making them have to make that split second decision between life and death. Please Open your eyes and pay attention to the suspects action, your actions will determine how the officer feels the need to subdue you as a suspect. Not saying there isn’t bad cops, there is good and evil in every aspect of life. Bad people are going to be bad people and when you do bad things you get bad consequences and yes those consequences if you take it too far can equal the death of that bad person because of their bad decisions.
The man is definitely going to jail now and he risked of being shot or killed by the officers and if he had stayed where he was and not drive off the officers would not have pointed their guns at him ready to shoot

One of the most professional and chilled out police officers I've seen. He kept a stoic and somewhat comical demeanor that could be used a lot more in law enforcement.
