Wow. Totally broke down with this one. Especially after Officer Jones broke down after the fact. Beautiful. I pray all police will get this kind of training. My daughter is on the autism spectrum and suffers from cPTSD. She is terrified of cops because too many misunderstand and shoot without trying to understand.

When the police officer is in the right AND is confronting you, if you have a weapon TELL THE OFFICER ABOUT IT AND LISTEN TO HIS INSTRUCTIONS WITH YOUR HANDS UP.
This officer is very selfless and you can feel how much he cares for others. We need more people like this in the world.

I have went 10 year no medical treatment I called n called va
I tryed the Congress man for my district Trent Kelly his aid told me move some other state get help
Hung up on me for days I left message for weeks
No one cares EVER day I pray I won't wake up depressed n so much fiscal pain days n days whith out sleep
Va gave exspermitul meds till I had 2 strokes n wus in a coma
I have had a CLAM in since 9 11 20001 19 years n Trent Kelly
N his aid a screw me out of it because thare just thare for the money n not help thare constitutes

I think suicides- regardless of how much competence is built in first response and healthcare personnel- will increase dramatically in coming decades.
This guy 👠this is what we need. I’m a psych nurse and soon to be psych nurse practitioner and want nothing more than officers to have this sort of training or team in their departments. If cities and states were interested in reforming police departments in the best interest of their cities they’d pour funding into suicide training! Don’t decrease funding, that’ll solve nothing.
