July 21, 2019 – Torrance, California : At around noon a small brush fire broke out at the corner of Via Valmonte and Hawthorne Blvd. Torrance city fire department responded and knocked down the fire in about 20 minutes.

you missed the san Pedro and the helicopter drop – good video though – some of the canyons by PV seem to be fire traps.

Weed abatement would have been a good thing too, I was told that we don't have the budget in San Diego for the program to continue. Looked like a priority area for the program.

Any ideas as to how it started? I heard on the scanner they called TPD to come as there was a homeless encampment there…
these are public servants i can support and have appreciation for.
Not only did the Torrance Fire Department do a great job putting out the fire but as the video shows they honored my press rights to cover this incident.
