We believe that many of our rights and civil liberties as American citizens on American soil are at great risk and that a simple act of civil disobedience has the power to effect great change. While we have no interest or intention in breaking any law, we are willing to stand up for freedom and the constitution at any time and at any place and do so in a responsible and productive manner. It is our goal to create free and open discussion whenever possible in an effort to educate both ourselves and anyone with a desire to learn. A well known rule of government is that ignorance is no excuse for the law. It is our stand that we as Americans have been either uninformed or misinformed regarding our laws and rights for far too long. We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. We want to thank you in advance for your support of what we do and want you to know that we are committed to working harder than ever to defend our rights, your rights and the Freedom to Film in Public!!

  1. I'm a subscriber and know I'm gonna' catch hell for this…, but I can understand the women being a bit queasy. 🙄 If I were the Sheriff, I would have told my Deputy to stay inside while you guys do what you gotta' do. I think they just felt afraid, because they are just females inside, and you are two dudes. I know you have the right to do that, I'm just coming from their perspective as females. Oh, that's what the Sheriff did. 😁

  2. I wonder how this auditor would feel if there were a crew that sat outside his house for days filming his house.

  3. While I agree with everything you say you And others like you sure waste a lot of peoples time. I mean really, what did you accomplish?

  4. I do not understand why these idiots do this. Like you walk in with no real intentions other than to accuse people of infringing on your right to do what you are doing. Of course people are going to be nervous about someone doing that.. usually people have intentions and they make them known to put people at ease. But when you walk in and don't state your intentions of being there then you leave it open to all sorts of possibilities, many of which are very bad. So forgive me when I say this but you can shove your camera right up your ass because it's literally not providing any other service to anyone other than making some nice ladies nervous.

  5. One of the only concerns I have with people doing what Amagansett Press does are in places with sensitive information. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't audit places. Merely just mindful as you swing the camera around, because it may record something sensitive/private on a monitor.

  6. A fantastic law enforcement officer. This Sheriff handled this pretty well. Very intelligent, well versed in law, our rights, amazing listener, and everything you would want. Great cop. We need thousands of sheriffs just like this one. This town is very lucky to have him protect their town.

  7. Public place dosent mean become a public nuisance..if all the people in the name of public place come here and do this…then this office can't function well..people like you who are responsible for delay in departmental disfunction…officers need to do their job..and here are jobless loosers..needing respect..are you all Robots!

  8. They are the abortion peddlers pretending to be health servers. Instead they serve death. Isn't it ironic they call themselves a health service? These are the most evil people in our society. Fat soft and very very diabolical. Mainly because they believe they are doing good thus, their conscience is seared.

    ..

  9. I think the most valuable contribution Amagansett Press makes is to teach a lot of people that law enforcement is not at all the same as feelings enforcement.

Unlike feelings the law applies the same to everybody. Too bad they have to be assholes to teach us that lesson.

    Thank you Amagansett Press.

  10. Those facilities all have tons of cameras surveilling everybody without their consent. It is understood that is for the wellbeing of the public nevertheless it is done without anyone's specific consent.

When the tables are turned people get very very nervous. Maybe they should. Should people get very very nervous when unknown people record them for unknown reasons?

That cannot be both honestly and easily answered. Given that it is possible that such recording could be used for nefarious purposes, is all negative reaction to recording in public by unknown persons a bad thing?

    ..

  11. This all goes back to the 'see something say something' indoctrination after 9/11. Now everybody's a cop and everybody's a snitch. It is their patriotic duty to call the cops on any suspicious activity. That's what they have been taught for many many years now it should be no surprise when they carry out their assigned duties. I actually hate nearly all of them. There must be a 50 state secession accomplished as we are bound at the hip against our will with the godless left.

No good thing can ever come of it.

The United States is a lost entity. The future is brightest which is best embraced. Many small republics must be forged out of the rubble. Some godly and some godless. Smaller governments will be more accountable and better able to represent the people.

Just remember groups do not have rights. Only individuals can possess rights. That needs to be specifically and clearly codified into every godly constitution.

    UNPLUG D.C. !!

The most dangerous city in the world.

  12. I think he is a decent sheriff, but I think it was important for him and many law enforcement officers to understand deescalation techniques and constitutional rights. But maybe even more importantly that he may have been more effective in creating safety for the facility to surveil the suspects rather than use false threats of prosecution.

  13. The shirts changed from purple to black when you changed to your phone camera. Either your phone or video camera has color balance settings that are off or your color grading is off. Cheers.

  14. They always want their questions answered, but don’t understand that citizens have no obligation to answer their questions and may actually fear that their responses may be held against them in a court of law. Not answering questions is not unto itself suspicious. And if they feel it is suspicious they are welcome to surveil a suspect, but they are not allowed to use it as probable cause.

  15. You can hear the quiver of fight or flight in that big babies voice.Compose yourself guy…you carry a gun. Can I apply to be this auditors friend? 😉

  16. I am happy that you are exercising the constitutional amendments. I have noticed though that there is a freedom that you choose to support denying people. It falls under the unalienable rights that our country was founded on. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. You seem overjoyed that they are taking the right to use tobacco products on public property. It was once a liberty that is being taken away from me. So now my liberty to smoke on public property is being taken away and so is my happiness. I understand that there is people that does not want to be exposed to tobacco products. There was a remedy to this in the way of smoking areas that used to be 100 feet or more from any door of public buildings. Please, the next time that you see a no tobacco sign, think about the liberty that is being taken away. Sure it is not right for you, but are you really in agreement that i can not make that choice for myself? If they can take one liberty away from someone what will the next thing be? Maybe they will take away the liberty to drive car. Its not in the constitution but it does fall under the life liberty and pursuit of happiness. Please reread the Declaration of independence. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/guides/M-654.pdf
