Protector RWS Live Fire – M1126 Stryker & Cougar MRAP on the Range

U.S. Soldiers, assigned to Regimental Engineer Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, during the squadron’s live-fire exercise at the 7th Army Training Command’s Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany.

The Protector RWS (M151 Protector) is a remotely controlled station that can be mounted to vehicles and stationary platforms. It has been in full scale production since December 2001.

The system consists of a stabilized platform, a fire-control system and control grips.

Several versions of Protector have been developed with more than 20,000 units sold around the world in service with 23 countries.

At 03:57 the video also includes an episode with the M153 CROWS II system(another remote system used on armored vehicles and ships) mounted on Cougar MRAP.
